Description:
*** SOLD *** Handsome Winchester Model 21 Skeet with highly figured walnut stock and beavertail forearm. Skeet grade gun with 28” barrels choked WS1 and WS2 and 30” barrels with Improved Modified and Full chokes. Outstanding condition and really nice wood. Crisp checkering. Bluing is excellent. Serial number is 24069. Made in 1949. *** The 28” Skeet barrels have a silver metal mid-bead and a fluorescent orange Brady style front sight. The 30” barrels with matching serial number were added later and have a silver metal front bead. Shiny bores. Both sets of barrels are topped by a raised solid crosshatched rib and a chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells. *** The pistol grip stock has a metal grip cap and a red factory Winchester recoil pad. Checkering on stock and forearm is crisp. There are only a few handling marks on the wood. Stock dimensions are 14-3/4” over a 1” factory recoil pad by 1-1/2 by 2-1/4”. Neutral cast. *** Weight with 28” barrels is 8lb even. Weight with 30” barrels is 8lb 2oz. Cased in a Red Head leather leg o’ mutton case in good condition with compartments that fits this set perfectly. *** There are lots of 21’s out there but not many in this outstanding condition.
