Beautiful custom Mauser by P.O. Ackley. 24" med. weight barrel marked with Ackly name and SLC Utah address along with "270 CAL". All metal has a high polish blue with zero wear. The action looks to be unfired since leaving the maker. Trigger guard mounted floorplate release and a crisp 3.5 lb trigger pull. It has a 2-7 Leupold VariX IIc mounted with fine crosshairs, NOT duplex. The stock is a custom walnut with shadow line cheekpiece, Rosewood forend tip and grip cap. Check the photos as the checkering is really well done and quite extensive including the border carvings. Full wrap-around on the forend. Oil finish with no gloss. This is a great stockmaking job with the wood and stocking costing much more than the asking price. Overall, this is beautiful and impressive looking rifle. It will make you proud to own.
