Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description: This is a seldom encountered PRE-WAR shotgun built by the Savage Arms Company, for the Montgomery Wards department stores. The Savage model number would be 621, however Wards used the model designation 61. This is a J.M. Browning patented design that was a popular slide action shotgun used by the military, police, and civilians in the earlier years of the 20th century. This particular shotgun was built around 1938 as close as I can figure, and displays exceptional condition for it's age. This gun features beautiful high figure walnut stocks, a 28", 2 BEAD SOLID RIB barrel with a full choke and a mirror bore. There is also a factory pistol grip cap, and what is beleived to be an original Jostam recoil pad intact. The deluxe versions of these shotguns were advertised in vintage catalogs with a rubber butt pad as far back as 1932. The gun has all original finishes to both wood and metal surfaces that would rate 85-90% overall. This is a nice tight gun that functions properly, and takes down & reassembles as it was designed. I prefer a Postal Money Order unless otherwise agreed.
