Description:
Gun is special ordered with a full nickel finish and set triggers. Lettered in the stock is an assembly number that matches all the other assembly numbers on the gun. Nickel plated 73 marked folding leaf carbine sight. Bore is very nice with some roughness but should shoot all right. Wood is probably 1 or 2x grade with sharp checkering. Has a well done repair at the toe but still has a chip out. Gun retains about 90% bright nickel. Flaked areas show a patina. Correct saddle ring and dust cover. Deluxe 1873 SRCs are rare. I have only encountered a half dozen in all the years I have been doing this. If it was a blued gun it would really look fantastic. Nickel doesn't have the eye appeal once it gets a couple of flakes. This a nice clean original 1873 complete with a Factory Letter.
