Description:
Gun has an excellent bore. Lyman front sight, flat top sporting rear sight and folding tang sight. Wood is in very good condition with most original varnish and a rifle style buttplate. 24 inch octagon barrel retains about 90% blue starting to turn a plum color. Magazine tube has about half the blue remaining and turning a brown color. Receiver has good traces of original blue. Flaked and turning a plum/brown color. Mechanics are excellent. These antique 44-40's are near impossible to find anymore.
