"Dated 1862. Has crown VR on the tail of lock. These were sometimes referred to as “Zulu’s". Rifled barrel guns were not traded to African natives but were traded as shotguns which are less lethal at long ranges. Stock has the Enfield cypher/property mark in the stock. Has unit markings on the tang of butt plate. Action works perfectly. Stock was shortened for the Zulu or other native use. Barrel length 32½".
