This is a genuine 1873 Winchester Rifle..44-40Cal..24in. Round Barrel w/ Orig. sling-snaps-& believed to be the original leather 'sling..! AS WELL AS...the Original 4pc/ cleaning rod ass'y..!! A VERY Nice clean well maintained OLD bore well difined lands & grooves..! This is a RARE example of an old Winchester!! Note the Cartridge Carrier(bronze) having the "Royal Crown & NWMP stamping..NorthWest Mounted Police(Canada Mounties) we ar e all familiar with. I believe this has been quite professionally reblued & perhaps NOT.. as the lettering on Barrel remains CRISP-sharp..!..personally, I care NOT..To me it does NOT affect its value. I am 82yrs. and am cleaning my 'closet so to speak. Photos suffice as I have none more to share. Makes me no diff it sells or not..!
