COLT 1861 FACTORY CONVERSION TO 38 CALIBER . SERIAL NUMBER 298 . THIS IS A CRISP EXAMPLE WITH TRACES OF ORIGINAL FINISH AND THE REST A NICE ORIGINAL PATINA . FULL SHARP CYLINDER SCENE STILL REMAINS ON CYLINDER . BORE AND MECHANICS ARE IN EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION. GUN LOCKS UP TIGHT . CYLINDER HAS ALL THE RIGHT CLICKS . ORIGINAL GRIPS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. OVERALL A VERY NICE EAMPLE OF A VERY RARE COLT FACTORY CONVERSION ! THESE GUNS SAW HEAVY USE DURING THE CIVIL WAR .
