STUNNING, VERY FANCY SHILOH SHARPS .45-70 SADDLE RIFLE WITH 30" HEAVY OCTAGON BARREL IN NEW CONDITION. The Saddle Rifle is one of my favorite models. Basically, it is a straight stock rifle with a cheek piece. I special ordered this rifle for a customer and delivered it in June of 2016. The purchaser never fired it, just kept it as a show piece and ended up trading it back to me in this new condition. It was ordered as follows: Saddle Rifle, .45-70, 30" heavy octagon barrel without rear sight dovetail, extra fancy walnut hand selected for dark color and fine figure/color matching in the forearm, AA stock finish, polished barrel, polished screws- black, brass escutcheons, pewter tip, Hartford Collar, bone and charcoal pack harden case colors, checkered steel shotgun butt plate, accent line on the cheek piece and fitted with an MVA #130 vernier tang sight with MVA Beach folding globe front sight. This is a spectacular and practical rifle that weighs approx. 12 lbs. Catalogue price on this one would be nearly $4600 with a couple year wait and possible price increases along the way. One of the prettiest rifles I've ordered. My price for this rifle is $4200
