Description:
The SKS is a Soviet semi-automatic carbine chambered for the 7.62×39mm round, designed in 1943 by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. The SKS is an extremely reliable, simply constructed weapon with two unique distinguishing characteristics: a permanently attached folding bayonet, and a hinged non-detachable magazine. The SKS was a primary battle rifle for the Soviet Union, the Eastern Block countries and China. The Norinco SKS carbines were produced for the civilian commercial market. 7.62X39mm
