This classic little bird gun has 26" damascus barrels choked cylinder and improved cylinder. The damascus barrels are in excellent original condition with mint bores and very thick walls. the minimum wall thickness is .030" near the muzzle. the thickness in front of the chambers is .070" so the gun is very safe to shoot with 7/8 oz or 1 oz loads. the receiver retains around 40% of the original case colors and the barrels retain 95% of the damascus pattern. the barrels lock up tightly to the action with no play and the top lever is still to the right. The stock is sound with no cracks or damage. The stock finish has begun to craze slightly with age,but is the original finish. The stock has a 131/2"LOP to the original buttplate and looks factory original. this is a great upland bird gun for grouse or woodcock or a fine preserve quail gun. Early Smiths like this are very hard to find with ejectors and this condition. A great gun for the collector or shooter.
