We have never seen an original mode 42 in better condition; this is litterally the best example we have ever seen or had. More so as it is a 1947 gun that has survived 73 years almost without much evidence of handling or even meaningful scratches or safe marks, NOT REDONE NOT REBLUED OR TOUCHED UP. COLLECTORS if you have been looking for a field grade 42 to add to your collection this is probably your gun, even the slide bar retains almost full blue. 28" full choke brl chambered for 3" shells.
