"U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor .45-70 caliber rifle. Barrel has a gray patina. Stock is good, shows handling wear. Cartouche is nice and sharp dated 1886. Carved below breech is the initials “S.O.J.". Bore is shiny and bright. There looks to be three bulges in the barrel. Not safe to shoot.
