LAYAWAY?...CCR REQUIRED........1911 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 315741. 5 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .45 Colt with standard SAA front sight and notched rear. Matching serial numbers on backstrap, trigger guard, and frame. Top of barrel marked with 1 line Colt Hartford, CT address with ".45 COLT" marked on left side. 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips with Rampant Colt on either side. Comes with factory letter confirming serial number, caliber, barrel length, and finish. This gun was part of a 2 gun shipment to Norvell Shapleigh Hardware Co. of St. Louis, MO January 20, 1911. CONDITION: Good, with almost all of the original finish turned to a brown patina with moderate to heavy handling marks and pitting. Grips show heavy wear with checkering nearly flat and some light chips throughout. Action works correctly and locks tightly.
