Wow, what a find this old estate gun is. All parts matching including an exceptional police Starburst stamped holster and a matching numbered take down tool. The side plate curiously does have a Weimar Republic stamp next to the matching serial number. The gun is indeed an actual war time "Commercial" (1914) DWM. The condition is almost as it left the factory. The present finish is conservatively 98+%. There is some very slight muzzle wear, a little sharp edge silvering and the usual side plate holster wear. That's it. No pits, rub marks or scratches anywhere. The left side of the frame. receiver and the underside of the the barrel have the proper reclining Crown N commercial proof stamp.
The grips straps have no sign of graying. The strawed parts may have faded very slightly over the years but they too are at least at 98%. The barrel, left side of the frame and receiver have the reclining Crown N commercial proof.
Please note that the early "Polie Sear Safety" is properly installed over the side plate. The walnut checkered grips are in excellent condition. No chips splits or flattened points. One grip is fully serial numbered to the gun. The grip screws are perfect. The slide rails, bolt face and feed ramps show little if any use. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. Possibly with the vaguest hint of surface frost.
The gun comes with a matching takedown tool, matching numbered police holster in super condition. All the stitching is intact. There is no crazing or worn patches. The back is also serialized 6025, and stamped Robert Larsen/Berlin/1935. Then the German Police Star K. Here's the surprise, there is also a takedown tool that is numbered 6025 and one nonmatching wooden based police numbered1.
