Description:
Highly engraved rifle with extensively carved stock scoped with a rare Leupold M8 7.5x scope in correct Buehler style mounts. Oh, and it's an early German rifle. Now about the engraving, it's appears to be a combination of factory engraving and highly elaborate Austrian style custom work. The action and barrel shank show tasteful and deeply cut engraving and is probably factory; the floorplate and rings are profusely done in typical tight scroll with a tiger's head inlaid in gold, in a different style. Not clear on the stock carving ... there is no vestige of checkering so this appears to have been done at the factory in German style on special order. Pencil barrel with excellent bore. Metal has strong satin rust blue finish. Stock finish is worn with one drying split behind comb but no stress cracks or chips. Unique and collectible for sure.
