Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are over the top proud to offer this gorgeous Remington model 12 C decked out in fancy checkered wood and marvelous engraving. Made in the year of our Lord 1925, she is in very good condition. The blue appears to be original, with some silvering on high edges and thinning at carry points. The wood is generally proud to the steel, and only has light handling marks. The bore of the 24 inch octagonal barrel has plenty of shine and distinct rifling. The stampings are very sharp and clear, as well as the highly detailed engraving. It was difficult to photograph, and you will like it even better when in hand. The sights are fitting for this grade of Remington, with a Lyman folding Beach combination sight up front, and a folding Lyman combination peep sight in back. The standard Remington barrel rear sight is also present. Nothing says "classic rifle" like a crescent butt, and this one is adorned with a darling "Remington UMC" emblem. While Remington cranked out millions of workhorse guns, high grades are seldom seen and fetch lofty values. I have seen engraved grades of this gun go well into the five figures, even with less detailed engraving. I will list this one for much less. Remington is America's oldest gunmaker, and it was sad to see them end this year. Now, investment in this marque will be even stronger. If you are looking for the right Remington to collect or for investment, then look no further.
