Description:
Dakota or Northern Cheyenne three blade battle weapon. Wood handled club hafts with three English butcher knife blades made by Alex Frasier (marked). He produced such knives for the US Indian Trade in the 1850s and 60s in Sheffield, England. Near the top of the blade on one side is the insized figure of an eagle about 2" x 3". This is believed to be the warriors "safety" image from his vision quest as a youth. The three blades are pinned and wedged into the upper handle. 26"long, the blades are 9". There are similar ones in the Custer Battlefield Museum. 26"L, Blades 9
