This third issue Colt Officer's Model Target is circa 1939. The box end is marked TARGET [part of label missing] HEAVY BARREL/PATRIDGE SIGHT/6 [barrel length] Colt's Officer's/Model Revolver .38 [Special]/ WOOD BLUE. The top and bottom box labels are good with some staining. Included in the box is a Colt's Shooting Suggestions fold out pamphlet. The box is good with edge and corner wear and three open top corners. While this box is correct for the revolver, the bottom has, unfortunately, been wet so the penciled serial number is no longer visible. This revolver has approx. 95% blue with wear on the left side at the barrel marking, and forward frame. The Patridge Sight locking plug screw is absent. The bore is excellent. The grips are excellent with fine checkering. The action functions perfectly. These heavy barrel, Patridge Sight Officer's Models are scarce. This is a very nice boxed revolver that would look good in your collection.
