Description:
Smith & Wesson .38 M&P “pre Model 10” revolver. Made in 1956, the last year or the pre model 10’s this revolver has a 4” barrel with ramp front sight, square but with the original diamond wood grips. For being 64 years old this “pre 10” is in remarkably great all around original condition retaining over 95% blue. In fact judging by the face of the breech and the cylinder this gun may be unfired (or very close to it). If that is the case then the slight muzzle wear, the slight frame rub on top near the rear v-notch, the faint cylinder drag-line and the light spot of surface rust on the lower left side of the frame and behind the trigger guard are all from handling, lack of maintenance and storage.
This is a really fine example of a very late pre 10.
