This revolver is marked in a silver roundel ""TKR"" on the left side grip and is marked TKR on the lid of the leather luggage style case as is often found on personalized cases such as this. TKR was ""Thomas Kane McClintock Bunbury He was the2nd Baron of Rathdonnell 1848-1929,and his family addressed him as TKR. He was a member of Irish Aristocracy and served as Colonel in the Royal Irish Rifles .Additional information on TKR is included covering his service in the political arena such as lord Lieutenant of County Carlow and other posts. Included with this set is his holster (marked ""Wilkinson, Pall Mall London""). Along with his military belt and cartridge pouch also marked Wilkinson. The shoulder strap has a provision for his ""over the top"" whistle used by officers to signal to the troops in the trenches to climb out and attack the enemy usually resulting in the severe casualties of trench warfare. Photos of TKR as a young man and in later years are included. It is unusual to find such a complete ensemble intact as is this assembly. The revolvers has 90% original blue.
