This beautiful model 88 chambered in .308 is in exceptional condition; blue not far from perfect and only light evidence of handling to correct factory American Walnut stock. It is original in every respect, unmodified, no non factory holes, no meaningful bumps or bruised, no cracks, splits or other.
It is a woods classic and comes with a perfect period correct Lyman All American Perma Center 4x scope which is crystal clear.
Made in 1971 in the Original New Haven Ct Winchester plant when they were still producing some high quality guns. In 1971 only 8555 model 88's were produced in all calibers. 243's are not often found in these handy accurate, fast handling and handsome rifles.
The Lyman is free...but these have a value on the 2d hand market at retail of approx 125.00 to $ 150.00
