Description:
A clean Remington 1858 new model woith very clear barrel markings Exterior metal is frame turning to browish, and the barrel and rammer are more dark blue. Typical wartime use with some shallow dings and scrapes..The harwwood grips are a little shrunk, and have cartouche on the left side can't read all of it but CGO? Not sure of the letters in the cartouche. Locks up tight, and indexes good with the nipples in good shape, HAs a SN under the barrel: 65122. The brass trigger guard has a mellow aged finish. Gun looks good, not sure if all parts are original as these were often rebuilt during and after the war for Indian fighting. Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost. We don’t have a web site .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in.
