Description:
This slide action shotgun is C grade in 12 gauge with standard scroll engraving highlighting mallards in flight on the left side and what appears to be pigeons on the right side. Receiver has pretty much greyed out. Nice smooth metal. Barrel retains quite a bit of aging blue. Bore good to VG. Bright and shiny. There appears to have been some work done to the lower tang. What for? Nice marking on the upper tang. Appears to be the orig Marlin stock that has had some work done on it. The buttplate is a bit ill fitting. A coat of varnish has been added. The forearm looks to have been broken and repaired. A crack shows on the left all the way through. A couple of filled plug screws also visible. Old Marlin pumps had a unique look.
