Description:
This is a high condition and mechanically perfect rifle which I have priced as a top end shooter grade due to my internal inspection revealing some non original glass bedding compound in the barrel channel. The work is very well done. There is no interference whatsoever with any mechanical function and the rifle retains its easy dissasembly for any future internal maintenance or adjustment. S/N 421*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1957.
30-06 Caliber. 24" barrel with excellent bore. The original bluing is outstanding throughout with the only notable mark being a slight elevator track from a previously mounted 22 series rear sight. The rifle is currently set up with a Lyman 57 receiver sight and filler plug in the barrel dovetail. This receiver sight is well clear of the wood and there is no mark whatsoever to the wood underneath either from its base or elevation screw. The stock is equally as nice as the bluing with only one small mar near fore end tip on left side. If you are looking for the ultimate hunting rifle in the most versatile caliber ever, along with an affordable price...this is it.
