Description:
VERY EARLY REMINGTON MODEL 870 12GA. 28" WINGMASTER PUMP SHOTGUN, CIRCA 1952. The 870 Wingmaster was introduced in 1950 so a nice early field model meant for 2 3/4" shells(not a magnum action). Barrel is serial numbered to the gun and is choked "Mod" as stamped on barrel. 28" barrel with original matted checkering on top of plain barrel. The original factory blue is 80% plus with balance being some light surface (superficial) rust that will go away completely as no pitting. Factory wood is the original wood that has NOT been sanded or finish re-applied so checkering and factory finish excellent with some scratches and light gouges from period of use and some paint from shelf/closet storage that again will lift with some minor TLC. Factory buttplate is intact as well. Never had an early 870 with this much original finish and fun to see one of the first 870's from their inception. Works perfectly and locks up nice and tight.
