Description:
Winchester Model 12 28 gauge. This gun is a Simmons conversion of a 20 gauge to a 28 gauge. 26 inch "skeet" choke barrel had a Simmons rib added and has roll marks showing 2 7/8" 28 gauge. Serial number on receiver and barrel adapter is 1351806 making them 1952 mfr. date. However the barrel is stamped with a 1947 mfr. date and the magazine band is stamped "20" for 20 gauge. There is an easily repairable crack in bottom of forarm as seen in photo. Otherwise gun shows good care but honest wear.
