The 43" long octagonal/round barrel has a decent bore with most of it clean and clear, except about 6 inches from the muzzle it's gotten surface corrosion and l moderate surface patches from long term storage rather than black powder use. Comes with a very small, fine bead sight, and the lock works well. The engraved nose of the hammer for trade business has a long throw, and there is no half cock which I've seen on some trade muskets. The American walnut stock is good with some age dings, very fine dry cracks and possibly small repairs through time, Barrel has three British proofs and the top of the wrist area has a brass ovel escheceon like a Brown Bess. The fancy brass trigger guard has the 18th century flintlock era acorn finial. Furniture is all brass and has a vintage hard wood ram-rod. Overall complete and good example of early 19th century Native American trade musket. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
