Manufactured in early 1943 during the first production run by Winchester, this M1 Carbine is serial number 1072576. It retains all-original WW2 Winchester production parts. The parkerized finish on all of the metal parts is a very attractive dark tone with a nice consistent patina. The Winchester barrel is in superb condition with a mirror-bright bore with no pitting, erosion, or visible imperfections. The exterior finish on the barrel is excellent with visible early Winchester markings. The stock on this Winchester carbine is the correct early "I" cut type with faint "GHD" markings. It is does have a crack in the wrist at the end of the receiver. This Winchester M1 Carbine is in perfect working order and should shoot just as reliably and accurately today as the day it left the factory. It comes with one WW2-production "IW" stamped 15-round magazine in excellent condition.
