From my personal collection, this is a beautiful light weight London Best game gun from the early 1900s. Still in its original Oak and Leather, brass cornered, case in fine condition. The H.J. Hussey New Bond Street address appears on the game rib.  The model name 'Imperial Ejector' appears on the fully engraved bottom of the action.  The original case label numbered to the gun and giving proof load information and instructions is still affixed to the case lid, to the left of a later Harrison & Hussey label in the center. This newer label was probably applied when the gun came back to the maker for service after the company changed its name.

The wood on this gun is gorgeous. The checkering and drop points are very crisp. No signs of excessive wear. The delicate full coverage bouquet & scroll engraving is London best and remains in fine condition, much more crisp than most 100 year old guns that have gone through some heavy refinishes. Not this one. Any refurbishing was obviously carefully and expertly done. A couple tiny dents can be found in the stock, along with light handling marks, but the condition is outstanding for its age. No dents in the beautifully struck barrels, and the bores are bright and rust free and ring true. She locks up tight on the faced and ejects properly in time. This elegant game gun is for the gentleman or lady who will like to shoot the light English style loads from its original 2-1/2 inch chambers. Perfect for driven birds, grouse, quail or clays. NOT FOR MAGNUM LOADS. I have shot it over the past 30 years or so for sporting clays, preserve and driven pheasant, quail and grouse, all with light 2-1/2” English loads, proving the long time British theory that you don’t need brain rattling magnum loads if you hit your target. I’m happy to answer questions or supply more pictures if I missed anything. I have a lot more pictures, plus information on this legendary London Best gunmaker.  Call or text me on my cell phone at 410-924-8484 or email me.
