Description:
This .44 Auto Mag AMP (Auto Mag Pistol) of Dirty Harry fame, is one of the original .44 Auto Mag pistols manufactured in Pasadena, California, beginning in July 1971.  About 3,000 Auto Mag pistols were made in Pasadena.  The date of manufacture for this Auto Mag pistol is December 9, 1971; its serial number is A01960.

This Auto Mag AMP is a single-action, semi-automatic pistol, with a 7-inch barrel (including chamber), adjustable rear sight, fixed red ramped front sight, and three magazines.  The overall length of the gun is 11 5/8 inches; its height is 6 1/8 inches; its unloaded weight (with unloaded magazine) is 58.5 ounces.

The gun comes with original black plastic Auto Mag box, the original magazine that came with the gun, the original Allen-wrench case, and an almost-empty Auto Mag gun-oil bottle.

The overall condition of this gun is 99 percent.  It was lightly used (only a few hundred rounds fired through it).  It shows no wear or other marks, except for some discoloration on the bolt, some of which is viewable through the ejection port.  There are no other blemishes, mars, stains, etc., anywhere on the gun.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any areas you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays $25 for USPS Priority Mail and $64.15 for insurance, if desired.

The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash, and I don’t have to wait for them to clear.  However, I will accept a personal check, other type checks, or another type money orders, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; that includes bank checks and cashier’s checks.  Keep in mind that USPS money orders are limited to $1,000, so this purchase will require five USPS money orders.

Check or money orders must be made out to Jerry Pownall.
