This is an exceedingly rare gun that was once part of the notorious J R Hegamann collection who was once part of Colts Board. This example is even the scarcer Sporting Rifle version with the 27" barrel length. A good amount of original finish is present on the frame with the majority of original finish present on the barrel. The stock is also excellent condition. The stock is stamped twice with Hegamann's notorious collection stamped marking. I know of 3 others of these London Addressed 1855 Revolving Rifles and they are all in one mans collection. These London addressed Revolving Rifles, not to many were ever manufactured and this is the first one I’ve ever owned. If you collect the Colt M1855 Revolving Rifle, London Colts, or just Colts in general, this variation is an absolute must! Mechanically excellent. More photos available upon request!
