Description:
A museum quality flintlock musket with a rifled bore. The lock-plate has an engraved rampart Lion the symbol of the East India Trade Company that controlled the trade between China, India, Persia, and Afghanistan . Total length is about 58" long, and the wooden stock is full length, the entire length is profusely inlaid with sculptured Mother of Pearl.Obviously belonged to a chieftain, or tribal leader! The lock works well, and the condition overall is very good to excellent. The swamped 43 1/2" barrel has an iron ram-rod not shown in the photos. Bore appears to be about .80 caliber? A very fancy musket with brass hand hammered barrel bands.No out of U.S. sales!!!
