Description:
A very fancy early trade musket, possibly with pirate use as the stock has two areas of early fabric and cowrie shells, commonly from Africa or Australia. The musket is about 54 1/2" long with a 39" long barrel, and decorations and engravings on the breech end. Not sure country of origin as I don;t see any proofs or maker's name. Action works well, and this was a working gun/ The stock is walnut hard wood with profusely set wire inlays, commonly found on 18th century guns.Never seen a gun like this before with all the decorations. The lock-plate has silver inlays. Very unusual musket!No out of U.S. sales!!! Check my inventory for unusual and rare gun parts and other items.I work hard to find unusual items, and try to keep the price affordable.
