.54, #8242, 21 inch barrel, blue and case color finish, "Howard Lippitt" stamped in right side of stock, walnut stock and forearm, original sights, circa 1864.
Howard Lippitt was the 33rd governor of Rhode Island (1875-1877) and father of a long line of Rhode Island politicians.
Condition: greatcondition overall, mint bore, 99% barrel blue, 99% frame. block and butt plate case color, 90% case color on barrel band and hammer fading, brigh blue on trigger guard, excellent wood with storage dings.
