Description:
Named after its creator, Carlo Bodeo, this revolver was produced for the Royal Italian Army and was produced in both Italy and Spain between 1889 to about 1931. It saw use in both world wars as well as Italy's colonial wars in the interwar years. A simple and robust design, it was produced in two variations. The first for Non-Comissioned Officers and Field Officers, featured a round barrel and trigger guard. The more common second variant was created for the standard rank and file solider, it featured an octagon barrel and folding trigger. This example was made by Glisinti in the city of Turin in northern Italy in 1889. None
