Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1952 in 30-06, double set triggers. What is unique about it, except that it represents the finest production rifle ever made (sorry Weatherby)? These rifles were made from about 1903 to 1968, when cost of manufacture caused them to be replaced by such as Steyr Mannlichers with lots of plastic parts. So this one? IT IS AS IT CAME FROM AUSTRIA...Checkering and stock without issue, and I'm pretty anal. It has not had multiple holes punched in it to accomodate some cheap scope mounts as we see in rifle after rifle after rifle of this type. I'll leave it to you to find and install mounts that were designed for its side application...or leave it original. Any issues you ask? Two. Original sling swivels had been replaced by post type for quick release sling swivels. But if you want to go back to originals, they can be found. Secondly, there is some old and minor discolorization on the barrel, trigger guard and bottom plate. This rifle has never seen a hunting trip. That old barrel oxidation/discoloration likely came from long term residence in a basement safe with high humidity and an owner seldom seen. A 2 1/2? Was there a hood on the front sight? Maybe, but long gone if there was. Shipping will be in a heavy box or hard case, insured for $50...if it's less, I'll refund. FFL or Curio and Relic doc will be needed. I'll take a personal check, but it'll have to clear... Other than that, USPS Money Order... As is Guns International policy, there is a 3 day return, but it has to be a non-firing 3 days. Questions? Rob Kornacki, US Army (Retired). SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
