Description:
Handsome, antique, Colt Single Action Army .45, 7 1/2" barrel, wood stocks and blue finish. Serial number 38558 matches on the frame, triggerguard and backstrap with the last four digits on the cylinder and on the barrel under the ejector housing. The barrel address is sharp and strong as is the patent dates on the frame. The caliber marking, and some serial numbers are worn. The Colt Archive department says that the record has been lost on this one. The action functions properly with a small amount of play in full cock and the bore is very good. The wood stocks fit well but may be replaced. The finish is a smooth, untouched patina with a few spots of very minor roughness. Price includes insurance and shipping directly to the buyer within the continental United States where legal.
