Description:
On hold, pending funds. Very nice Colt deringer known as a second model or a No. 2 in .41 RF with a 2 1/2" barrel. Made from 1870 - 1890 with approximately 9000 total units. This one is serial number 4882 and matches on the bottom of the barrel and grip frame. The frame is original nickel finish with most of it remaining on the left side and some missing on the right. The barrel is blue with strong traces on the bottom and some evidence of light cleaning on the sides. The checkered walnut grips fit perfectly and are in excellent condition with most of the original varnish remaining. The action functions properly and the bore is very good. The markings on the top of the barrel are clear and sharp.
