Description:
Scarce, early Colt Open Top Pocket Model .22 RF with the seldom seen ejector mechanism. Made 1871-1877, this one is serial number 2432P (likely first year) matches on the bottom of the frame and barrel lug. The P designation was used on the early models to indicate for nickel plating. The 2 3/8" barrel has a clear and sharp address and a good bore. The action functions properly and the grips are burl walnut, somewhat darkened with age, that fit perfectly and are original to the gun. The nickel plating is near 100% on the frame with high percentages on the frame and cylinder. The original small ejector rod and head are often broken, bent or missing. These are correct originals in great condition.
