Description:
Serial #12434, .32 Long Rim Fire, 15" part octagon and round barrel with a fine lightly pitted bore with strong rifling. This is the Medium Frame, New Model Pocket Rifle manufactured by Stevens with from 1875 to 1896 with an estimated 15,000 total production across the various calibers and barrel lengths. This gun features the combination globe and blade front sight with an adjustable, flip up rear sight. The gun has the side plate, internal firing pin and grooved slot on the grip for the shoulder stock rest ( not present with the gun). The gun is in excellent condition with a mostly blue barrel that is thinning in spots with small areas of light freckling. The nickel plating on the frame is excellent with light use marks and the walnut grips are near excellent with some light gouges near the rear screw hole. The rear sight, hammer and spur trigger all showing areas of bright, nitre blue in protected areas with scattered freckling. A great looking gun. Antique
