This is a full sealed box of 20 45 Long Colts for the 1909 revolvers. These shells have a wider rim so that they cannot be loaded in the single action revolvers. The old Military single action revolvers will only shoot black powder shells safely. The 1909 Colt's will handle smokeless loads which are too hot for the black powder Colt Single Actions. This was the Arsenal's approach to avoiding the smokeless loads being fired in the old model Single Action Colts. This box is in very fine condition. The end pull tabs are intact. There is no separation of the corners. The labels are sharp and clear. This is a high quality original box for the 1909 Military Colts. These boxes are not commonly seen today in this fine of condition.. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
