Rare Colt National Match.
Serial Number 1963 MR. (mid range)
This National Match was produced in 1961.They were National Match Gold Cups made to fire the 38 Wad Cutter Round. They were Built to tighter tolerances and specifically to maximum accuracy than the Gold Cups.
This pistol was one of the first run of 1000 made. Colt produced a total production of 7000 pistols that were made in three production runs of this model.
They made these match guns to fire the 38 Special Wad Cutter Cartidge. The Magazines hold five rounds. They were built for competition. Specifically for the matches leading up to and the Olympics.Their tolerances were tighter than the Gold Cup Series.
1963-MR is near new. The Barrel Bore is Bright and Sharp. The blue is beautiful. Colt quality at it's finest. This is a Very Rare and Scarce Collectible Colt National Match Pistol.
