Description:
Winchester model 1873 carbine, .44-40, 20" barrel. Serial #165013A, 1884 manufacture. Very good bore, metal overall is a plum color patina, although the receiver and barrel bands appear to have had a light cleaning at some point years ago. All other metal components match in patina. Barrel address is all there. Top of barrel at breech as well as brass block both stamped "44 CAL". Mechanics are very good. Original sights, folding leaf rear sight marked “1873” and missing slide. Wood is very good with much Western character, handling and saddle wear, shows age with several handling dings although no major defects. Correct carbine buttplate with compartment, saddle ring present, original dust cover.
