Fine 3rd model 1866 (Yellowboy) Winchester Rifle, .44 rimfire caliber, near excellent bright shinny bore with strong rifling. Original 24" desirable octagon barrel with very good+ Winchester address and patent date markings. Original sights. Metal overall has a dark aged blue-brown patina finish with scattered spots of light pitting. The brass receiver has an untouched patina. The bottom tang bearing clear serial #98662, 1872 manufacture. The stock is very good+ overall with a small ding on the right side and a carved initial 'M' on the left side, wonderful golden honey color. Mechanics are excellent, tight. Crescent-style brass buttplate with compartment, factory sling swivels. A great looking model 1866 (Yellowboy) Winchester Rifle, very desirable and collectible.
