Blade is marked H. Herder Solingen. Blade has been polished improperly and has light surface scratches. Hilt is very good with no chips or cracks. SA emblem at top of hilt and NSDAP eagle in the middle. In our opinion the sheath was recoated with a dull lacquer in a similar color to the original. A reasonably priced SA dagger.
