<<<SOLD>>>An example of a scarce early Remington Beals 1st model pocket revolver in .31 cal percussion with a 3" octagonal barrel. The external skin is a brown patina, and this gun has the German silver trigger guard, and grips made of gutta -percha. Appears complete, and action works most of the time, sometimes it will lock-up because it gets out of time, or a cylinder tooth on the back of the cylinder is worn.Top of the frame has writing , very samll which is typical of Remingtons. Still and interesting gun with an exterior pawl! Possibly less than 5, 000 made 1857-58 (before the Civil War).Check my inventory of rare grips, unusual gun parts, barrels and holsters.
