This is a very nice Colt Pocket Model "Solid Barrel Type" without ejector and loading gate. (Fladerman's 9th addition, page 100) Made circa, 1873-80. Caliber. 38 Center Fire. S# 323440. All numbers match except wdge. Barrel. 3 1/2" rround. of solid type w/out ejector. 5 Shot rebated cartridge conversion cylinder , with stage coach scene and roll engraving. Blue finish with case colored frame & brass grip straps. 1 Piece walnut grip. Left side of frame is stamped w/ 1871 & 1872 patent dates. Barrel retains 70% lightly faded blue showing spots of corrosion with small. dents in wedge area. Cylinder, retains 40% dull fading blue retaining clear intact cylinder scene. Frame & hammer show 70% lightly faded case colors showing spots of corrosion. Grip straps show traces of silver finish. Grips show moderate wear & handling marks. Sound mechanics.
