Description:
Holland & Holland Royal Hammerless chambered in .375 Nitro Express 2 1/2" is very fine as professionally refurbished, as is common on fine British sporting arms. It has a walnut stock, blued barrels marked "Holland & Holland 98. New Bond Street, London" on the right and "Winners Of All The "Field" Rifle Trials, London" on the left. The flats of the barrels are struck with period London proof marks and "40 GRS Cordite", "375", and "270 GRS Bullet" on each barrel. The action and sidelocks are beautifully engraved scroll typical of the royal model. It also has on the underside of the stock a golden initial oval. The length of pull is 14 11/16" The wood is in very good condition with a few nicks along the high edges and a small repair at the front right of the forend, a loose grip cap, and the barrels show 95% blued finish.
