The rifle is a best 500 BPE Jones underlever typical of the period; what makes this one exceptional is the full complement of ivory (from an elephant taken by prior owner with this very rifle!) cleaning and loading tools in a modern fitted oak and leather case of very high quality. Super tight action w rebounding hammers, extended top and bottom tangs, about 50% colors remaining, marked 5 drams 3 1/4" case. 26" barrels with very good bores, minor pitting R, moderate L, 100% superb fresh rust blue. 30/150, 200 and 250 platinum lined leaf sight, moon front beads. Expertly restored wood, 14 1/4" pull thru Silvers pad, drops 1 7/8" and 3" cast off w cheek piece. 9.5lbs
